Supply Chain (Env)
Wang-Zheng Berhad (“WZB”) demonstrates its commitment to responsible supply chain management and environmental stewardship through active participation in internationally recognised frameworks and certifications. The Group’s subsidiaries, Modern Alpine Sdn Bhd and New Top Win Corporation Sdn Bhd, have obtained Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) certifications, ensuring that raw material sourcing complies with global standards for sustainable forestry, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of indigenous rights...
In addition, WZB integrates sustainability practices across its operations and supply chain through its Environmental Policy and Environmental Mission Statement, which emphasise commitments to biodiversity protection, resource efficiency, waste minimisation, water stewardship, and climate change mitigation. These commitments are further embedded into supplier expectations via the Supplier Code of Conduct, which requires suppliers to align with WZB’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, including compliance with international best practices and responsible sourcing frameworks.
Furthermore, WZB supports renewable energy transition by investing in solar PV systems under Malaysia’s NEM NOVA scheme, with a combined installed capacity exceeding 1.467 MWp. This initiative not only contributes to decarbonisation and energy security but also reflects alignment with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and broader industry frameworks.
Through these measures, WZB affirms its role as a responsible industry participant, aligning with recognised international initiatives and contributing to collaborative efforts to reduce environmental impact, enhance supply chain transparency, and safeguard ecosystems. In 2025, we plans to strengthen its commitment to social responsibility by organising community-oriented programmes that create positive and lasting impacts on the well-being of surrounding communities.
Key initiatives included:
- Community Care for the Elderly: Employees volunteered at local old folks’ homes, engaging directly in care and support activities.
- In-kind Donations: Contribution of adult diapers and other essential items to improve the daily comfort of elderly residents.
- Employee Engagement: Active participation by staff not only provided meaningful assistance to beneficiaries but also fostered a culture of empathy, compassion, and teamwork within the organisation.
For the reporting year 2025, the Group plans to allocate RM5,000 in corporate donations and community investments to registered not-for-profit organisations, with contributions specifically directed towards elderly care programmes.
These efforts have delivered tangible support to the elderly community while strengthening employee involvement in community service, laying the foundation for long-term, positive social impact.
